So, last week I officially preordered Stargate Continuum from Amazon. I will be adding the show to the site soon, and of course, the moment I watch, I’ll be writing and posting a review.
Of all the television shows that could have made it in movie form, I think Stargate has been perfect in that format. I’m anxious to see this new one though since it’s clearly going to be more able to stand alone than the last (which was an excellent wrap up of the Ori story).
I enjoyed Serenity (Remember that one? It was the followup movie for Firefly.) Frankly, I don’t know why it didn’t draw more attention, because it wasn’t difficult to follow the film’s plot, characters, or history. I enjoyed it a lot, even though I haven’t seen all the episodes from the original series.
When talking about series that have done well as movies, I can’t overlook the Star Trek franchise. I would love to see a Voyager movie, but of course, I’m not sure what the point would be considering how the series ended. All the bits and pieces were pretty much wrapped up and eliminated to possibility of a movie for that one. I’ll be in line to watch the new Star Trek movie when it comes to theaters, but I’ll probably be alone since most of my family and friends aren’t fans.
On that note, I saw the trailer for Journey to the Center of the Earth with Brendan Fraser. Pure fantasy, and I certainly want to see that one!
